The design process
Every client has different needs, and Village Avenue Landscape Design understands this.
Clients will be guided through the landscape design process to achieve the ideal outdoor space.
Village Avenue Landscape Design only collaborates with qualified and licensed contractors to bring each design to life. All designs can also be implemented by your preferred landscaping company or contractor.

KEY ELEMENTS OF THE DESIGN PROCESS
1 | Initial consultation
With Village Avenue Landscape Design, work commences from the moment we are on-site meeting you for the first time. During your initial 1-hour consultation, you will be provided with early design guidance, plant and construction recommendations, plus you will be walked through the design process. Due to the high level of detail and information we provide, we will charge a modest $100 AUD + GST fee, which is to be paid ahead of your consultation.
2 | Reverse brief and proposal
Following your initial consultation, Village Avenue Landscape Design will provide you with a detailed proposal that outlines all the design recommendations tailored to your needs. Once you are ready to proceed, you will need to sign a copy of our Terms of Business to start the design process.
3 | Concept plan development and presentation
This step is where the magic happens, Your tailored design will be developed with the help of 2D-scaled aerial designs. You will also be provided with an array of imagery, including a detailed plant/material mood board to ensure it is clear what is being recommended. All designs will include landscape specifications and development controls to ensure compliance with local councils.
4 | Final plan delivered - ready for implementation
This is the final plan that will be the roadmap to bring your design to life. Please note, all relevant details will be provided to you to ensure all landscapers and contractors can develop your approved design.
Need project management support?
Village Avenue Landscape Design can also provide project management support during the implementation of the final design. This involves:
-
Collaborating with appointed contractors and the relevant client-side contacts to prepare ahead of implementation.
-
Overseeing the implementation of the approved design.
-
On-site visits to provide face-to-face support and guidance where needed.
Let us know during the initial consultation if this is something you require. If so, this will be an additional fee separate to the design cost.
